Lee Evans : Bills sign rookie wideout Marcus Easley

The Buffalo Bills have a glaring hole at the wide receiver position opposite Lee Evans, and now have agreed to terms with a possible solution.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times, the Bills have signed fourth-round pick Marcus Easley to a four-year deal that includes a $520,000 signing bonus. Like most rookies, Easley's four base salaries figure to add up to $1.79 million, bringing the minimum value of the rookie contract to roughly $2.31 million.

Just a one-year starter at UConn and a former walk-on, Easley exploded for an 18.6 yards-per-catch average with eight touchdowns as a senior in Huskies coach Randy Edsall's run-heavy offense. Easley ran a 4.42 forty at the Scouting Combine and goes 6-foot-3, 210 pounds.

In March, we rated Easley the 12th best receiver in the draft and predicted he'd go 92nd overall. He was the 14th wideout drafted, and went 107th overall.
